Job Summary: The Quality Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of the assigned software applications by executing functional test cases and scripts. The Quality Analyst creates manual and automated functional test cases/scripts and test infrastructures for the product or features being tested. The incumbent participates in the identifying, developing, creating and improving the functional testing processes, framework and infrastructure.
Performs all of the above Associate Quality Analyst’s functions plus:
• (45%) Test Case Design, Planning and Development
o Creates functional test plans and test designs for the product or feature under test.
o Works with project teams and ensures the quality of assigned applications.
o Maintains or generates data needed to execute test scenario/scripts.
o Documents test scripts in a common repository.
o Participates in design reviews for the functional test definitions and plans.
o Reviews product requirement and design documents to determine scope of test development.
o Participates in code reviews for test scripts within the test group.
o Works with a team of Quality Engineers / Analysts and participates in the identification, development, creation and improvement of the testing processes/framework.
• (45%) Test Execution and Reporting
o Defines and executes test plans and technical test designs for complex projects.
o Creates manual and automated test cases/scripts and test infrastructures; Performs testing based on the development lifecycle.
o Executes functional test plans and test designs for the product or feature under test.
o Reviews Provides metrics and reports on test results/status.
o Documents test scripts in a common repository.
o Maintains the proper test environments including the installation of products under test and complimentary products.
o Becomes proficient in Landmark tools and LPL if assigned to Landmark projects with an emphasis on quality.
o Develops and maintains knowledge on core Lawson applications and supporting products.
