Job Description:
Infor is transforming Presales and looking for a dynamic team manager to help us shape the next generation of Presales excellence. We are introducing the new Presales Foundation team in order to prepare new solution consultants to be on the front line with Infor’s field presales organization. Infor is looking for a seasoned manager to lead this new team by providing coaching, mentoring and development for the next generation of presales experts. The team’s goal will be to learn on-the-job about Infor solutions, targeted verticals, and how to sell, while supporting our field Presales teams with customer proposals, demonstration preparation and remote presentations. The Presales Foundation Team manager will have a highly visible role within Presales and Sales management as he/she grows this mostly junior level team into knowledgeable and flexible solution consultants. The manager will be responsible for enabling the team to contribute to the productivity of the organization quickly as well as eventually taking on advanced presentation and demonstration responsibilities.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in sales or presales management in the software industry with experience managing college hires or junior level talent. The most qualified candidates are detail-oriented, team players who are eager to work in an innovative environment and can effectively manage and develop a new team.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Day to day management support of functional shared services team for Presales
• Review performance with individuals
• Assist with job questions, escalate issues as they arise
• Motivate and lead a team of junior presales consultants
• Provide coaching around selling skills and soft skill development
• Allocate project work to team members
• Review work products and recommend changes as needed
• Work closely with Presales management to ensure high levels of service to the rest of the organization
• Recommend process improvements as needed
• Build, collaborate and monitor individual’s development plans
• Deliver constructive feedback and create development plans to address deficiencies
• Build core knowledge in Infor’s industry solutions
• Assist team in day to day activities as needed
• Minimal travel expected
