POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide technical project management expertise for Infor Labs development teams. This role will include coordinating development activities across multiple development teams in multiple geographic locations and ensuring that monthly feature deliverables are delivered on a timely basis with high quality. Experience with Agile Software development methodologies will be required. This position will be technical in nature and will grow into developing automation for build deployment, automated deployment testing, and creation of deployment artifacts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS for this role are Project Management, Communication, and a Technical Interest in Automating all aspects of delivering a SaaS solution.
Project Management and Coordination
• Schedule and facilitate regular Scrum/Standup meetings with appropriate development team resources.
• Facilitate and attend turnover meetings before promoting a solution to production.
• Assist development mangers in ensure that Release Notes are produced and published.
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process for monthly feature releases.
• Help mature the team’s ability to estimate project velocity.
• Develop and produce team metrics.
• Coordination between development managers and technical resources.
• Maintain project plans, communicate with team and management on a regular and timely basis.
Communication
• Foster teamwork by planning and addressing strategic issues as a team; encouraging collaboration among team members and between teams; and acknowledging and celebrating team accomplishments.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to the development teams on technical project phases, milestones, and overall progress of the technical development implementation.
• Facilitate accurate and up-to-date schedule information.
• Assist the Product Manager in maintaining the Infor Labs automation roadmap.
• Provide detailed implementation planning, project planning and project coordination in conjunction with the Infor Labs development managers.
• Assist the Product Manager in developing positive customer relationships (both internal and external customers), resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction; foster effective team management.
• Ensure that deployed software fixes are effectively communicated to Support, Service, and Operations organizations.
Technical Interest in Automation
• Identify areas for all Labs software solutions are automation opportunities. Examples would include but not limited to: Production promotion, release notes publication, creation of bi-weekly scrum and Kanban boards.
• Identify test automation opportunities and help identify ways in which development teams can begin to mature in this discipline.
• Help evolve the Labs software delivery pipeline to improve collaboration and transparency for coordinated solution deliveries.
• Ensuring the workflow through other operational systems (JIRA, Confluence, Source Control, Infor Xtreme, Enhancement Request) is automated in the most “friction free” manner as possible.
Executing a project
• Help team execute with traditional Agile ceremonies: Planning, Standups, and Retrospectives.
• Work with Development Manager(s) to manage the project schedules.
• Assist and help plan project quality assurance activities.
• Manage project issues and risks. Assist in identification and resolution of those issues and risks.
• Review project deliverables.
• Play hands on technical role where and when necessary to support customers, the project, and the project team.
• Work with Development Manager(s) to track project status and communicate status to and internal organizations.
• Monitor quality of project deliverables.
• Help triage and prioritize customer issues.
