JOB POSITION: Configure Price Quote – Microsoft Dynamics AX Integration Developer and Business Analyst
JOB LOCATION: Columbus, OH
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing the functional and technical combined tasks associated with business analysis, development, and quality assurance for the integration of the CPQ suite with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for gathering, analyzing and communicating business requirements for assigned product development, product maintenance and support activities; and for delivering solutions to agreed requirements
o Meets with customers to evaluate current and future product needs
o Utilizes business expertise to evaluate product needs and create leading edge solutions
o Stays current with roadmaps and releases of the CPQ suite and Microsoft Dynamics AX
o Develops product plans
o Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise
• Designs, develops, and documents applications and implementation of new functionality Performs bug corrections, release testing, and beta support which may require research and analysis. Provides system and database administration support for various environments
o Researches problems discovered by product support and develops solutions to the problems
o Conducts testing consistent with development standards for assigned functionality
o Provides documentation of development work
o Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology
• Performs and/or supports testing tasks to ensure developed products meet design specifications
o Creates and executes test plans, test cases, and defect tracking and creation and execution
o Performs integration testing and systems testing of new development work
o Produces user documentation and training materials
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science required
• Functional and technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, familiar with manufacturing concepts and practices
• 5+ years business analyst experience and using, supporting or testing commercial/business applications
• Excellent technical knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in software development methodologies, design, and implementation
• Experience developing partner solutions is a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to develop modifications and enhancements for Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Exercises sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Utilizes well-developed professional skills and solid functional/technical knowledge to perform essential functions
