TITLE: Director of Release Certification and Enterprise Release Management

Preferred Qualifications
• Responsible for the implementation and continued evolution of and adherence to the Infor Release Certification Process.
• Strong project management skills, industry expertise or software development or implementation experience is preferred
• Ability to work across teams and balance competing requests related to release requirements and to alter the release certification requirements as needed to address trends
• Ability to block the release of a product version to the market when the required criteria are not met
• Provide the systems and data to track releases and dates.
• Ability to see the interdependencies and impact of one product to another or one team to another.
• SharePoint knowledge for publishing reports and other content for general consumption.
• Act as a central source of knowledge for the company leveraging the release team, tools and reporting to provide data related to product releases that are coming, progress towards cloud deployment and Xi adoption
• Ensure the product information wizard is a current and accurate representation of the product availability.
• Work closely with Product Management and Launch Management to ensure alignment with field readiness activities
• In addition to the Release Management function, manage the Reference Architecture team and ensure that reference architectures are reviewed and updated as needed as new product versions are released

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
• The Release Management team defines and manages the release certification process.
• This includes:
• Ensuring that the product release meets the certification requirements
• Act as a liaison across marketing, development, support, consulting services, learning, sales, value engineering, and partners to certify and ensure teams are ready for new product releases.
• Provide guidance and assistance to the teams for any questions or problems related to the release certification process including Product Readiness and Organizational Readiness tasks
• Technical background to understand provisioning, interfaces, tech stacks and environments in discussions relative to a release certification.
• Adapt the Release Certification process and tasks to the cloud where releases are more frequent and more incremental.
• Provide guidance and assistance to product management and development to help ensure the right tasks, owners and approvals are in place for new releases
• Ensure that the Release Certification process is in sync and properly aligned with ancillary processes that interface with Release Certification (i.e., Open Source Approval, Pricing, etc.)
• Experience in managing large global transformational projects.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel across all functions (i.e., VP, C-Level, Development, Product Management, Sales, etc.)
• Proven record of execution to time and budget
• Strategic and tactical thinking
• College Graduate w/ 4 yr degree - Business, computer science, process engineering preferred or related experience
• 5 – 10 years’ experience with a software company from a development, support or services perspective
