Role: Software Engineer, Senior (Java)
Education: BE / B.Tech / MCA / Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience: 6 to 8 years
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Create scripts to auto deploy a multi-tenant software in the AWS Cloud
• Collaborate with other developers and departments to ensure high quality software and timely delivery.
• Mentor other development team members
• Refactor design for ultra-large web volumes
• Ensure that unit and system tests are automated, per quality assurance requirements.
• Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet business goals of application and environment.
• Open to take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 6+ years of experience developing scalable products as well as experience working on enhancement and
ongoing feature and maintenance work.
• Proficient in AWS technologies including Elastic Cache, S3, ELB, Cloud Formation, Lambda functions
• Proficient with Docker
• Proficient with Linux
• Proficient with 4-tier architectures
• Proficient with AWS stack
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL
• Experience with Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Proficient with source-control tools and best practices
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Development Operations background a plus
• Experience with Redis/Couchbase stateless architecture
• Flexibility and willingness to pitch in where needed. This may mean on occasion helping with other functions (e.g. QA, Operations)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an interest in working in a collaborative team environment
• Micro-service architecture
• Occasional travel may be required depending on the project deliverables.
