JOB POSITION: Quality Assurance Analyst


JOB LOCATION: Malvern, PA

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing Global HR/Talent Management application team in the role of a Quality Assurance Analyst. The Quality Assurance Analyst will evaluate and test software programs to verify that programs function according to design documentation and standards, by designing and implementing test plans and test scripts to ensure the overall quality of the product. You will be responsible for tasks necessary for measuring and evaluating product quality and performance. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be required to assist the application teams in identifying and resolving problems. You will be joining a dynamic fast-paced cross-functional team composed of business analysts, developers, architects, product managers and quality assurance analysts delivering a world-class HCM ERP application.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maps business and technical requirements and and designs into test suites, test cases and test scripts.
• Conducts testing based on test scripts and test plan.
• Identifies, analyzes and documents defects, errors and inconsistencies in software functionality, including but not limited to, outputs, online screens, content and security.
• Validates new software in test environments.
• Assists in solving problems arising during testing.
• Maintains or generates data needed to test.
• Completes work in a timely and accurate manner.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum BA or BS Degree; Computer Science or Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• This position requires a minimum of 3 years software quality assurance analysis and testing experience, including a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Proven ability to write and execute manual tests.
• Evaluates and tests software programs to verify that programs function according to design documentation and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to track issues to completion.
• Proven expertise of defect management tools such as Jira.
• Proven ability to follow Company testing standards
• Demonstrated experience in the review of software requirements, risk analysis, specification documents and testing procedures.
• Experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work successfully within a team that includes Business Analysts and Developers.
• Competent experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• The ability to rapidly learn an application, new tools and techniques in order to become quickly productive.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
• Experience working in an Agile software development project
• Testing experience with Web based, cloud hosted enterprise software products
• Experience in browser functionality testing
• Experience working in an Agile software development project
• Expertise in Java, Selenium, and tools such as EggPlant or QTP
