JOB POSITION: SaaS Security Analyst
JOB LOCATION: Remote
JOB SUMMARY: The SaaS Information Security Analyst is responsible for conducting application and technology vulnerability assessments; performing vulnerability scans and reporting; assisting internal, operational, support and application development teams in secure solutions design recommendations, remediation planning; development and maintenance of information security policies; coordinating investigation and reporting of security incidents; monitoring security systems on a 24x7 basis; compliance with company security policies, contractual requirements and applicable laws. This position encompasses operational and development assignments. The position requires understanding and practical use of application development methodologies, advanced security protocols and standards; as well as solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assess information security risks of legacy and new applications using risk assessment methodologies based on current/future state architectures
• Assist teams with secure SDLC practices by leveraging solid comprehension of application and cloud architectures, threat modeling and SDLC design methodologies
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation action planning
• Coordinate cross-functional team meetings to remediate security vulnerabilities
• Continuous security monitoring of IDS/IPS, analyzing threat vectors from various sources, tools, e.g. SIEM, etc.
• Security incident response and investigation
• Support of SSAE 16 and other audits
• Policy development and maintenance according to generally accepted industry standards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• At least seven (7) years of experience in the Information Security domain[s] and ten (10)+ years overall technology experience
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science (or related Technical Field)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• CISSP, CISA, Security+, C | EH (Certified Ethical Hacking)
• Programming knowledge in JAVA and/or .NET
• Knowledge of Secure coding best practices
• Solid knowledge, implementation and practical use of information security principles and standards
• In-depth comprehension of IT methodologies, such as network, software development lifecycle and operations
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to "think-out-of-the-box"
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of Security Practices for Cloud Computing Environments: (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
• GSEC, CCSP
• OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
• Application Security Testing or related products & services (VERACODE, IBM AppScan Source, WhiteHat, etc.)
• Experience in IT, regulations and compliance standards, such as SSAE 16, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and others
