Practice Manager - HCM Consulting

Job Description
People Management & Development (50%)
• Responsible for the management, development and overall people care of HCM functional consultants.
• Specific areas include recruitment, retention, staffing forecasting, coaching model implementation and communications
• Drive Certification to meet company goals (Product certification where available, architect certification, Project manager certification)
• Address performance issues in a timely manner, including comments from Customer Satisfaction surveys
• Responsible for the preparation and delivery of Employee Performance Appraisals
• Define employee development plan, taking into consideration career growth and employee objectives
• Effectively communicate and ensure team is working cohesively and all aware of company/ICS/CC goals, through regular team meetings and one-on-ones
• Provide training plans and field readiness projections for product launch.
• Ensure all mandatory training is carried out in timely manner (Infor Fundamentals, IDM, etc)

Capacity Planning (10%)

• Skills Succession planning. Map out skills in team and take into account retirement and employee attrition in capacity plan.
• Support Preparation of capacity plan for your Competency Center on a Quarterly basis, working collaboratively with other regions, the COE and all stakeholders.
• Drive Actions from Capacity Plan review in a timely manner



Delivery of Resources (20%)

• Support Resource Planners as needed to identify resource options to successfully staff projects
• Responsible for all activities surrounding the delivery quality of the assigned HCM CC services resources to ensure successful implementations, overall client satisfaction and referencability
• Provide relevant/requested forecasting data to Management.
• Resolves staffing escalations as required by business.
• Involved with running the business strategically and tactically.



Relationships/Communication (10%)

• Serve as escalation point for Project Managers and client issues and concerns as needed.
• Be a spokesperson internally and externally to support area development and growth.
• Can resolve complex business problems
• Develop strong relationships with key client personnel


Financial Performance (10%)
• Achieve budget utilization targets Effectively.
• Team Utilization – decision making and leadership to achieve CC utilization targets
• Ensure team is on time with expense reports and time sheet submissions
• Take action to minimize non-billable work
• Effective Management of non-bill hours

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of increasingly more responsible ERP Consulting experience as well as experience managing a Consulting delivery team
• Able to travel as required
