JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for processing orders for merchandise, goods, and services. Receives orders by phone, call log, email or in person and ensures all data inputted into information systems is accurate and complete to ensure order accuracy. Processes orders and supports other logistical or customer functions as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree; preferred
• Familiar with Microsoft applications
• Working with customers via phone calls
• Able to manage customers and successful with conflict resolution
• 3 to 5 years’ direct customer experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Checks inventory to make sure requested product is available
• Computes price and any appropriate discounts
• Handles customer complaints
• Verifies customer information is correct and up-to-date
• Checks customer account for credit and outstanding payments
• Informs customer of shipping date and any possible delays
• Notifies appropriate department of order and shipping date
• Reviews orders for accuracy and completion
• Strives to sell customer additional merchandise
• Files copies of all orders received
• Input data into Information Systems
• Records customer information to process order.
• Complete fields such as name, address, account number, item number, price, and any sales or promotions.
• Input data into computer information systems.
• Inform customer of prices and payment options.
• Ensure payment information is accurate.
• Process and follow up on orders.
• Handle complaints about unfulfilled orders.
• Inform customer if item is out of stock or discontinued.
• Suggest other salable items.
• Have parcel picked up by shipping company.
• Work with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
• Prepare order reports for management.
• Interact with salespeople or customers providing requested trends analysis or reports.
• Coordinate and expedite priority orders
• Monitors and manages RMA inventory
• Provide internal and external reports as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to positively interact with customers
• Handle sporadic high call volume
• Ability to manage difficult customer situations efficiently
• Efficient with computers and data entry
• Ability to project a professional and dependable image to internal and external customers
• Attention to detail required
• Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:
• Sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours continuous)
• Computer use for extended periods
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
