SUMMARY:
Performs financial analysis, modeling and reporting for Saas business. Compiles and reviews forecasts and budgets for a variety of Saas departments. Heavy excel work and modeling. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience, preferably some Saas experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• B.S./B.A in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, planning and budgeting, financial reporting and systems
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Analyze financial and operational results versus forecast and plan, investigating significant variances and communicating findings to management team
• Develop and maintain models and analyses to aid in the validation of existing forecasts; support strategic initiatives and help review critical financial decisions; support internal and external financial and management reporting including investors
• Prepare financial modeling for new business development, cost saving projects, customer profitability and product profitability
• Assist in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions and/or strategic partnership opportunities
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and management reports as requested by the CFO/ VP FP&A
Assist in the preparation of executive, board level, investor and research analyst presentation
• Assist in the Business Innovation project of automated reporting versus use of excel spreadsheets
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Knowledge of SaaS business from a FP&A perspective
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Heavy modeling and data analysis skills
• Understanding of costing & Saas revenue recognition
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Advanced financial systems (ERP, PM and MIS)
• Strong data modeling and data analysis skills
• Strong Knowledge of Advanced Excel
