Our growing Systems Consulting organization is looking for experienced Technical Project Manager with leadership experience to lead a growing Lawson Systems Consulting organization.

In this role the Manager Lawson Technical Project Management will provide technical project management expertise for client implementations while serving as the technical team leader for Lawson Systems Consulting for assigned projects. Serve as the primary agent in helping clients achieve their tactical goals including a successful implementation and a positive relationship with Infor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS for these roles include Leadership and Communication and Project Management:

Leadership & Communication
• Foster teamwork by planning and addressing strategic issues as a team; encouraging collaboration among team members and between teams; and acknowledging and celebrating team accomplishments as it pertains to the business of software implementation and client satisfaction.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to the client on technical project phases, milestones, and overall progress of the technical development implementation.
• Facilitate accurate and up-to-date consultant schedule information for all client projects by ensuring the application is up-to-date for resource assignment, client opportunities, and resource skill-sets.
• Complete monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts as requested by management on a timely basis.
• Provide direct feedback to R&D as well as other launch and or beta team members when engaged with beta or lead adopter activities.
• Provide detailed implementation planning, project planning and project coordination in conjunction with the project manager. Develop positive customer relationships (executive level and end user), resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction; foster effective team management.

Project Management
• Maintain up-to-date skills on the most recent release of the technical and third party tools to continue to provide a high level of service to the customer.
• Promote products and services, in a positive, responsible manner.
• Provide clients with consulting expertise and “best practice” recommendations around enhancing the standard products, tool utilization, staging of enhancements, etc.
• Introduce new and/or additional products and services to enhance the client’s business usage while meeting the client’s business needs via the change control process.
• Coordination between project managers and resource planners on request of tech resources for a project
• Maintain project plans for technical services portion of project, communicate with team and project management on a regular and timely basis.
• Facilitate/attend turnover meetings with the pre-sales team involved in the sales cycle.
• Work with the pre-sales team when necessary to support the technical infrastructure and/or services estimates for new or existing accounts.
• Provide impact on project budget and budget management.
• Maintain detailed reporting on tech services portions of project budget.
Executing a project
• Manage the project schedule
• Manage vertical and customer expectations throughout the project
• Manage project quality assurance activities
• Develop required change requests
• Manage project issues, identification and resolution
• Manage project risks
• Review and approve project deliverables
• Manage all resources, including third party subcontractors, which will include writing peer reviews upon completion of project for each resource. Includes addressing any performance, delivery expectations, coaching and/or client expectations. Escalate any personnel issues to upper management in a timely fashion
Monitor and Control
• Track project status and communicate status to both customer and organizations
• Manage project change control procedures and update project baseline as required
• Communicate project related organizational changes to the customer
• Monitor and control the project budget
• Monitor quality of project deliverables
• Monitor project risks and communicate status of risk plans
• Hold regular team meetings and provide feedback on performance
• Present project status at customer steering committee meetings, as requested.
• Obtain timely customer approval of invoices and insure payment on time
• Manage the engagement to planned profitability target

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have several years of Technical Consulting and Technical Project Management and Lawson experience and have a willingness to travel extensively. PMP certification is preferred. Undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience
