Director of DPS Logistical Support

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Vice President of Public Safety, the Director of DPS Logistical Support is responsible for overseeing the security operations of the Department of Logistical Support.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to customer service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the operations of the Bike Patrol, Dispatch, EMS, Locksmiths, Communications, and special events.
• Coordinate the special investigations unit/assign cases as appropriate.
• Liaise with outside law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to, Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Riverside Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney’s office, FBI, and CHP.
• Coordinate the training programs within the Department of Public Safety.
• Collect and analyze security data to determine security needs, program goals, and accomplishments.
• Respond to and resolve complaints from patrons/guests or outside agencies.
• Serve as Acting Vice President in the absence of the VP or as assigned.
• Review Financial Reports to ensure efficiency and quality of operations.
• Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
• Recommend/Create/implement security procedures and policies.
• Write/Review Security related documents, such as incident reports, proposals and strategic initiatives.
• Respond to critical incidents on property as defined by the emergency operations manual.
• Protect the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position serves in a supervisory capacity. Responsibilities may include budgeting, hiring/terminations, Team Member relations issues, mentoring, and corrective actions. This position requires a mindful approach to resource management and is responsible for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
________________________________________

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in related field of study and at least ten (10) years’ experience in management of security operations related field such as Military, Security, or Law Enforcement to successfully perform this job. At least five (5) years in a management role is required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a CA Guard Card.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a CA Weapons Permit, CA Baton permit, and Pepper Spray permit.
• Must maintain compliance in the annual PRC Title 31 Certification.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a PC 832.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Drivers’ License.
• Must complete and maintain FEMA certifications as required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Basic knowledge of computers (Microsoft Office applications).
• Must have basic typing skills.
• Must be able to speak clearly on a radio.
• Ability to work in a stress filled environment.
• Must have own duty gear.
• Must be able to maintain high level of customer service.
