RV Resort Housekeeper

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The RV Resort is part of the Pechanga “experience” and is a hospitality enterprise. The primary objective for all staff is to create unforgettable experiences for all of our guests. Under general supervision, the Housekeeper maintains the appearance of all RV Resort facilities by ensuring that all areas are kept clean, are cleared of trash, and maintained to meet the AAA Four Diamond standards. The Housekeeper must maintain a positive attitude and be a team player that works well with guests, Team Members and Management. The Housekeeper must remain flexible, as schedules are subject to change based on business demands. This position requires working on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT:
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Development Corporation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The RV Resort Housekeeper is responsible for the appearance of all RV Resort facilities including lobby, restrooms, showers, pool area, laundry room, club houses, back office areas and outdoor areas by maintaining a clean environment for all guests and Team Members.
2. Carry out verbal and written instructions from the RV Resort Management team and follow through with completion of all assignments in a timely manner.
3. Maintain the cleanliness of all RV Resort facilities throughout their shift, including sweeping of outdoor areas, sweeping and mopping of tiled areas daily.
4. Restrooms must be cleaned daily including: scrubbing showers, cleaning walls, cleaning counters, as well as wiping down vents and doors.
5. Remove trash from public areas and back office areas throughout shift.
6. While guest interaction is minimal, all guests should be greeted warmly and any guest requests should be responded to quickly.
7. This position does not require the handling or exchange of cash with guests.
8. Protect the assets of the Pechanga Development Corporation.
9. Perform all other duties as assigned by the RV Resort Management team.


EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least two years work experience in hospitality or housekeeping environment is preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product labels,
operating and maintenance instructions. This position also requires the ability to communicate
effectively with guests, Team Members and Management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
This position requires the ability to compute basic math equations such as measurement.

REASONING ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
1. Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful and take directions and follow through with assigned tasks in a timely manner.
2. Proper knowledge how to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
3. Ability to read product labels to ensure proper use of cleaning products and chemicals.
4. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and provide clear directions to guests and Team Members.
5. Maintain a favorable working relationship with other departments to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment.
6. Ability to work independently by prioritizing the workload to ensure completion in a timely manner.
7. Ability to multi-task.
8. Must be able to work with a positive attitude and manage stress in a fast paced and culturally diverse environment.
9. Must be flexible to work various weekday, weekend and holiday shifts.
10. Must posses excellent guest service skills on the phone and in person. Must possess a professional demeanor and vocabulary.
11. Must have a pleasant personality and present a professional image when interacting with guests, Team Members and Management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for 8-10 hours at a time.
2. Must have the ability to reach over head/below knees for objects at short distances in working area or office.
3. Must have sufficient manual dexterity of hand, eye, and neck, to utilize various cleaning tools.
4. Must have the ability to lift light to moderate weights (up to 25 lbs)
5. Must be able to wear plastic and latex gloves and work around cleaning chemicals and products.
6. Must be able to work outside in hot weather, cold weather or rain.
7. Must be able to squat, crouch, or bend at the waist in order to reach areas that need cleaning.
8. Must be able to reach above head, and extend arms in order to reach areas that need cleaning.
