Chief Financial Officer
SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing the day to day financial affairs of the agency, Billing and Collections, Finance and Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Purchasing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Finance
- Lead development of annual operating and capital
- Manage and supervise the reporting of financial results in accordance with GAAP
- Assist department heads and others in evaluating financial results and developing plans for
- Report financial results to Board of
- Monitor trends in revenue, payroll hours, unit hours, for reporting to executive team and board as needed.
- Oversee all purchasing of the authority including compliance with purchasing policy, adherence to budget, and maintenance of proper cash levels for the
- Act as custodian of agency assets, including cash, inventory, and
- Maintain adequate insurance coverage for the
- Arrange for annual independent audit of the financial statements of the
- Arrange for preparation and filing of the annual Cost
- Develop financial projections for all new projects taken on by
- Review and approve all contracts with third parties..
- Verify and approve bi-weekly payroll for the
- Act as custodian of the retirement plan accounts with Mass Mutual or future platform.
- Monitor daily cash flow of all bank and investment
Business Office
- Oversee daily workflows of the billing office
- Assure the Authority is in compliance with all Federal laws in regard to billing and collections
- Monitor the performance of all vendors including verification, deductible monitoring, and collection agencies.
- Oversee agency’s response to audit and review requests from
- Arrange for audit of patient care reports and invoices by legal counsel Werfel & Werfel on a bi-annual or as needed basis
- Prepare and analyze reports of billing and collection activity for appropriate and thorough procedures and to ensure fiscal
Other

- Oversee special projects as requested (golf tournament, CAAS accreditation, software installs)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting or
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: Certified Public Accountant
- Basic knowledge of medical industry and medical terminology
- Ability to handle complex situations and think in a systematic
- Ability to multi task and follow through with complex assignments
- Ability to deal with all personalities and maintain composure under stressful
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA laws and regulation pertaining to
- Knowledge of mobile technologies and computer networking
- Knowledge of electronic medical documentation processes and
- The ability to create ad hoc data mining
