Maintenance Supervisor

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor (swing shift) at Talking Stick Resort
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Summary
Assists the Maintenance Managers in overseeing the operation of the Maintenance Department.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Maintenance Technicians in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assigning and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Minimum 1 year supervisory or management experience required, preferably in casino engineering. Journeyman or equivalent experience in at least one trade for a minimum of 3 years and previous experience in mechanical maintenance work required. Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's license and meet MVR requirements to be authorized to use company vehicles.

Computer Skills
Must have basic PC skills.

Other Qualifications
Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and be a team player. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; secondary smoke; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
