UNIFORM SUPERVISOR

Job Title: Uniform Supervisor
Department: Warehouse

Reports To: Assistant Warehouse Manager
Starting Pay Rate: $17.51 per hour

Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Warehouse Manager, is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage and disbursement of uniforms in the warehouse/uniform room.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises the Uniform Coordinator, Seamstress and the Uniform Attendant in the uniform area. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; assigning and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1 to 3 years supervisory experience required; previous work experience in a uniform distribution environment strongly preferred however, a strong knowledge of fabric and garment care/cleaning and knowledge of sewing machine
operation/maintenance is acceptable. Must have a valid Arizona Drivers license and must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to operate a company vehicle.

Computer Skills
Must have excellent PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, employee must be able to master the use of GIMS and SWS software.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or
move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
