Radiology Technologist - Specialty Clinic CasualJob Summary: Provides basic patient care services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. Performs various clerical and administrative duties under the direction of the Site Manager. Assists with office procedures as necessary. Maintains equipment and supplies as directed. Operates various office and medical equipment, as necessary. Answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, filing, copying, collection of payments, update patient demographics, assisting physician, patient assessments, telephone phone triage, prescriptions, and office procedures. Provides radiological examines for patients. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree in X-ray Technology. Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), and certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Successful completion of registration or certification in an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred. Knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques, radiation safety, anatomy/physiology and disease process and quality control in a Radiological setting. Demonstrated knowledge of computers, insurance, and medical terminology preferred. Experience using Athena and EHR preferred. PCMH experience a plus. Answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, filing, copying, collection of payments, update patient demographics, assisting physician, patient assessments, telephone phone triage, prescriptions, and office procedures. Must demonstrate competency in administration of all contrast media and barium. If cross-trained in CT must also demonstrate competency in administration of radioactive tracers and pharmacological stress agents. Incumbent should be skilled in interpersonal relationships, monitoring patient responses, assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands and operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications. Some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain additional specific technical certifications. Working Conditions: Potentially exposed to infectious diseases. Physical Requirements: Constantly stand, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear, taste/smell. Frequently sit, walk, reach, push/pull, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch.
