Pool Technician
Job Title: Pool Technician
Department: Maintenance Reports To: Water Maintenance Supervisor Starting Pay Rate up to $17.01 per hour; depending on prior experience Summary Perform general maintenance duties on pool/spas as assigned and/or depending on experience/competence, under guidance of preventative maintenance and work orders. Supervisory Responsibilities: On occasion, may supervise maintenance laborers and groundskeepers in the maintenance division of the facilities department. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience in pool/spa maintenance work required. Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers license and meet MVR requirements to be authorized to use drive and operate company vehicles. Computer Skills: Must have basic PC skills. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and ability to focus. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; secondary smoke; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.
