Talent Acquisition Partner

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Partner will provide talent acquisition expertise and drive efficient execution of talent acquisition activities. The position will also ensure that the talent acquisition strategies and processes are attracting highly qualified candidates.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Recruits, sources, and screens candidates for all levels of positions. Interviews and recommends applicants that meet qualifications for the open positions. Participates in selection interviews, partnering and advising hiring managers to ensure the best candidate is selected.
• Ghost / Shadow with hiring managers’ team/department to develop clear insights of the team culture, strengths, and gaps to help candidates fully understand the opportunity.
• Posting and management of position descriptions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and career boards (internal & external).
• Provides information to applicants regarding application process, employment policies and open positions.
• Conducts initial interview of all applicants, to include review of application for completeness and to obtain additional information as needed, such as work experience, education, training, and skills.
• Refers qualified applicants to hiring managers and arranges interview appointments; participates in the interview process.
• Compiles, tracks, and files data related to applicants and open positions; prepares reports of applicant flow and job opening information.
• Organizes and attends Job Fairs on and off property
• Checks references/backgrounds as needed
• Researches and recommends appropriate and viable compensation levels and packages for offers based on salary data from Compensation Department.

• Writes offer letters and extends offers of employment, verifies compensation and other information is accurate and within requisition and company guidelines
• Partners with Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner to utilize Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
• Tracks the progress of applicants through the hiring process until clearance is received from Gaming Commission.
• Partners with Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner to assist internal team members with their internal mobility.
• Tracks Time-to-Fill metrics for openings.
• Supporting military recruiting initiative, including partnering with military placement vendor to identify potential positions for veterans, educating managers on realizing transferable skills, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Ensure hiring preference is extended to members of the Pechanga Band of Mission Indian Members and to members of other nationally recognized Native American tribes.
• Ensures timely processing of all new hires and in compliance with set Gaming Commission guidelines
• Assist in administration of pre -employment drug screening
• Maintains a professional image at all times; interaction with the general public and team members is always conducted in a polite, courteous manner.


RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER POSITIONS:
• Reports directly to TA Operations Manager
• Communicates regularly with all members of the HR staff
• Interacts with Casino team members and Management team
• Contributes to process development/improvement initiatives.
• Assists other Talent Acquisition Partners/HR team as time permits.
• Assist in administration of pre- employment drug screening.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR/CSP/CDSP/TAS certificate a plus.



COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Must be able to obtain a Class “A” gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
Must be detailed oriented
Must be able to handle high volume recruitment
Ability to multi-task is critical; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
