Aide - Radiology Casual

Job Summary: Aides the technologists and physician with duties associated with film acquisition, and processing and preparation for dictation. Supports the goals of the department and organization through excellent customer relations skills and patient care.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Performs film loan outs.
  • Transports patients and aides the technologist in their daily functions, when needed.
  • Maintains a consistent filing systems, daily patient records and charging procedures.
  • Performs data entry functions and maintains accurate records of released films. 
  • Directs telephone communications.
  • Schedules and welcomes patients to the department.

 

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   Knowledge of medical terminology; moderate typing skills; prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands. Experience operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications. Knowledge of insurance types and coverages is preferred. Ability to monitor patient responses and excellent interpersonal relationships.

 

Working Conditions:  May be occasionally exposed to hazardous materials or infectious diseases.

 

Physical Requirements:  Constantly see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear.  Frequently sit, walk.  Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 49 lbs.
