EVS Manager

The Environmental Services (EVS) Manager will lead staff through the development and execution of facility solutions, ensuring the property cleanliness and safety is fastidiously maintained. The EVS Manager will assist staff in the identification and procurement of tools and supplies needed to perform assigned tasks, and ensure all health and safety standards are met. The EVS Manager will ensure that all public area housekeeping is maintained to an exacting Four Diamond standard.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to customer service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the aesthetics of all on-site facilities.
• Maintain an inspection program for all assigned EVS areas.
• Maintain Covid-19 cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
• Provide direction and supervision for all levels of EVS Team Members.
• Responsible for all personnel duties and issues within the department.
• Ensure staffing is kept at the level necessary to perform job functions effectively.
• Build contentment and satisfaction within the department adhering to Guest and Team Member Service Standards.
• Disseminate applicable information to subordinates.
• Disseminate needs of department through budgetary requirements.
• Assist supervisors with schedule of work force to maximize personnel to complete required tasks.
• Approve the procurement of all necessary supplies for staff to perform job duties.
• Stay abreast of new and innovative cleaning products, protocols, and industry trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position serves in a supervisory capacity. Responsibilities may include budgeting, hiring/terminations, Team Member relations issues, mentoring, and corrective actions. This position


requires a mindful approach to resource management and is responsible for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field; minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience is required; or 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least five (5) years in a management role is required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Valid California Driver’s License.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and floor care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Virtual Roster or similar scheduling software.
• Knowledge to comprehend and decipher Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and identify proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Passion to be better than a “Four Diamond” property.

• Hires, trains, evaluates, suspends, and terminates all EVS personnel.


• Incumbent will interface with various other department Managers and fellow Team Members on a regular base.
• Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
