Coordinator, Charge NurseJob Summary: Responsible and accountable for assisting in the day to day operation of the OR, staff, and patient population. Collaborates with staff, vendors, physicians and others to ensure efficient and quality patient care.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Current licensure in Michigan as a Registered Nurse. CNOR required with first 6 months. BLS and PALS. Member of AORN. Five (5) years clinical OR experience. Recent charge/supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Expertise in circulating and scrub roles. Proficient computer skills, Cerner, Surginet, Word, and Excel. Excellent decision making skills. Proficient nursing assessment, implementation, and evaluation skills. Able to work under stressful situation. Professional demeanor. Creates a professional work environment through leading by example, support of organizational vision and mission, and maintaining availability to patients and staff. Demonstrate mentoring ability when interacting with staff. Working Conditions: Potential for exposure to infectious disease and blood and body fluids.
Physical Requirements: Constantly walk, see/visual acuity, talk/hear. Frequently stand, sit, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, lift/carry 25 to 50+ lbs. |
