Job Title: Title 31 Associate
Department: Finance Reports To: Tax/Title31 Supervisor Starting pay range $15.49 to $20.49 per hour; depending on prior experience Summary Performs daily, monthly and yearly reconciliations of tax filings, including W2-Gs, 1099s, 1042s, MTLs, CTRs, SARs and 945s. Ensures all information is kept current and accurate to IRS guidelines. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; at least 2 years college education with an emphasis on Business, Accounting or Finance required; Associates Degree preferred; 3 years accounting/finance/audit work experience required. Casino audit experience strongly preferred. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Other Qualifications Knowledge of related IRS rules and regulations strongly preferred. Must be proficient using 10-key. Must have knowledge of pertinent IRS tax forms. Must be able to successfully communicate with multiple levels of management as well as co-workers. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. *CB* |
