Supervisor - Specialty Clinic

Job Summary: Provides supervision of   staff, performing all duties under the direction of the Site Manager.  

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Supervises, trains, evaluates and disciplines staff.
  • Maintains schedules of all staff; coordinates coverage throughout the clinic where needed.
  • Assists Site Manager with  supplies; ordering, stocking, inventory management and cost control.
  • Participates in interviewing candidates and makes recommendation regarding hiring.
  • Reviews and accurately submits payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Assists Site Manager with monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Assists Site Manager with incentive plan requirements.
  • Identifies barriers that inhibit service and works to remove them.
  • Ensures that established policies, procedures and Standard work are followed.
  • Participates in Lean initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age Successful prior experience in a supervisory role.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities: . One (1) year prior related experience in a physician’s office setting. Demonstrated knowledge of computers, insurance, medical terminology, and general clinical processes preferred. Knowledge using Athena or other EMR and staff training experience preferred. The ability to operate standard office equipment including fax, copier, scanner, and computer. Maintains the standards of care and implements the policies and procedures of Oaklawn. Adheres to regulations and standards of accrediting body.

Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Potentially exposed to infectious diseases.

Physical Requirements:  Constantly sit, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear, lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs.  Frequently stand, walk, reach, bend/twist.  Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 49 lbs.
