Registered Respiratory TherapistJob Summary: Perform all aspects of respiratory care clinically and diagnostically that the Cardiopulmonary department provides, such as adult ventilator care and critical care assessment, EKGs, general floor therapy, working with Neopuff support of newborns, arterial blood gas access, Pulmonary Function Testing, stress testing and holter monitoring/scanning. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: State of Michigan license Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or respiratory student or graduate in an AMA approved program graduating in less than three months. BLS certification. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Graduate of an AMA accredited educational program for respiratory therapists, or graduating within three months preferred. ACLS, PALS and NRP certification, preferred. Must demonstrate competency in administration of all inhaled medications and modalities. Working Conditions: Potentially exposed to infectious disease Physical Requirements: Constantly see/visual acuity, talk/hear, lift/carry 50+ lbs. Frequently stand, walk, reach, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch. |
