BOX OFFICE SUPERVISOR
Job Title: Box Office Supervisor
Department: Entertainment Gaming License: Class III FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Box Office Manager Starting Wage: $17.51 per hour Summary The Box Office Supervisor assists the Box Office Manager with the coordination of activities and staff for the box offices and venues at Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort as well as with management of venue ticketing system. Supervisory Responsibilities The Box Office Supervisor directly supervises the Lead Box Office Representative and the Box Office Representative. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. At the direction of the Box Office Manager, assists with interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, directing and ensuring the completion of work. Assists with conducting performance appraisals; recognition and employee disciplinary notifications; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; minimum 2 years’ work experience in a box office environment with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role required; working knowledge of ticketing system applications required. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills. Intermediate knowledge of MSWord, Excel and Outlook applications required. Prior ticketing database management experience (such as Ticketmaster) is required. Other Qualifications Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must have a sense of urgency towards service delivery and business goals. Must have the ability to work well with others. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Must have favorable annual evaluations and no active disciplinary notices. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. *CB* |
