Department: Purchasing Gaming License: Class III FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Purchasing Supervisor Starting Pay Rate: $19.06 per hour Summary Engages in the procurement and purchasing of food and beverage, materials, supplies, equipment and services for the casino enterprise. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience HS/GED required; some college education in purchasing, business or related field preferred; two years professional experience in the purchase of materials/services for a large organization/company required. Experience purchasing food & beverage is strongly preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations A.P.P. certification preferred. Computer Skills Must have excellent PC skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of standard accounting software; inventory software; automated order processing systems; MS Word and Excel. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
