Floor Technician at Talking Stick Resort

Job Title: Floor Technician (graveyard shift)
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Floor Shift Supervisor
Starting Pay Rate up to $15.46 per hour; depending on prior experience

Summary
Performs floor cleaning work on all floor surfaces including VCT, terrazzo, quarry tile and other floor surfaces on a daily basis. Keeps floors maintained and in a finished state at all times. Helps resolve floor issues that might arise during any given day.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 2 years of professional/commercial floor care experience required with working knowledge of hard surface floor care including tile, VCT, stone and marble. Must have experience in the restoration and maintenance of stone floors, including powder polishing, crystallizing and honing floor surfaces as well as the ability to resurface and restore
stone countertops. Must be fully knowledgeable in the operation of floor machines.

Other Qualifications
Must be able to work weekends and evenings.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; secondary smoke; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
