Mammography TechJob Summary: Under limited supervision, provides mammography and bone density exam’s for patients.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in X-ray Technology or related field. Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography (M), and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques, radiation safety, anatomy/physiology and disease process and quality control. Should be skilled in interpersonal relationships, monitoring patient responses assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands and operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications. According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain additional specific technical certifications.
Working Conditions: May be occasionally exposed to hazardous materials or infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements: Constantly walk, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, talk/hear. Frequently stand, reach, push/pull, stoop/kneel/crouch, lift/carry 50+ lbs. |
