Quality Incentives Engineer

Job Summary: Assist the Quality Incentives Manager by collecting and entering patient healthcare data into multiple data bases, performing basic audits and sharing results with assigned offices.  Will also perform patient pre-visit screening, contact and schedule patients for preventive visits either by portal, phone or mail.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Reviews, identifies and enters Gaps in Care from multiple payer sources and identify trends.
  • Identifies, contacts and schedules patients that require preventive services.
  • Conducts chart audits and presents results to offices.
  • Performs patient pre-visit screenings.
  • Attends IHP data site meetings, sub-group and educational meetings.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Certified, Registered or Credentialed Medical Assistant or Certification, Registration or Credentialing within 90 days from date of hire, or other Allied Health degree.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and disease processes.  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining focus and effectiveness, maintaining a high productivity level; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in addition to strong interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in a variety of computer software programs and/or systems is necessary.  Able to work independently. Working knowledge of Quality Improvement, Meaningful Use, PGIP, PCMH and LEAN principles preferred.

Working Conditions:  Periodic travel and driving to OMG practice sites, other OMG locations and off-site educational settings.  

Physical Requirements: Constantly sit, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear.  Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs.
