Registered Polysomnographer Full timeJob Summary: Provides respiratory care for patients under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), physician and by prescription. Processes Home Medical Equipment purchases and rentals and enters information into the computer system. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited AASM (American Association of Sleep Medicine) program and successful passing of the AASM Polysomnography Registration or completion of an approved A-step program. BLS certification. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to Multitask. Able to assess and prioritize multiple tasks and demands. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, client, customers, and the general public. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and other forms. Able to maintain client confidentiality. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Able to work in a self-directed and collaborative environment and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Able to work independently and be capable of solving problems using good judgment. Must have effective interpersonal skills in all areas of communication with strong oral communication skills. Recognizes importance of building partnerships with all members of the health care team and exhibits behavior that displays teamwork, professionalism, and respect for diversity. Understands anatomy/physiology of disease process and patient assessment protocols. Working Conditions: May be exposed to chemical vapors such as cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
