Transportation Dispatcher

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Transportation Dispatcher complies with all service guarantees of Pechanga Resort & Casino and provides on property transportation services.


FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide on property transportation services while maintaining Pechanga’s service excellence guarantees.
• Respond to email, telephone and radio inquiries for transportation.
• Comply with all department policies/procedures and standards.
• Respond efficiently to special requests for guests.
• Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing; able to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work. Able to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.
• Able to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and to remain calm during emergency situations.
• Able to act independently while analysing data and drawing conclusions from written and computer generated materials.
• Provide instruction on and/or guidance for guest/employee safety in fire or any other emergency situation.
• Attend all training classes as directed by the company or as mandated by the collective agreement.
• Attend and participate in pre-shift department meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
• Comply with all departmental service guarantees.


ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities



QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES


EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; and at least two years experience is required/or five years preferred to successfully perform this job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. This position also requires the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must be able to obtain a Class “A” gaming license.
• Class “B” Drivers License Passenger endorsement.

• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must have a pleasant personality and present a professional image when assisting players.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must have an excellent personality and driving skills for customer satisfaction.
