All CDC recommended vaccines are required vaccinations at Oaklawn. Seasonally, and upon determination of Senior leadership, the Influenza Vaccine may be mandatory; in those years, compliance is required. For all vaccines, Religious Exemptions and Medical Contraindications are available.

Therapist-CASUAL variable dayshift hours, possible weekend hours for groupJob Summary: Responsible for coordination of individual and group psychotherapy, family sessions, completion of psychosocial histories, suicide risk assessments, individual treatment plans, and discharge planning. Oversees the multidisciplinary team’s development of the patient’s individual plan of care during the course of treatment in the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Master’s degree program in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology, plus experience in individual, group and family therapy. Licensed and in good standing in the State of Michigan in the respective discipline. Handle with Care Basic Certification in nonverbal and physical management within 2 months of hire and annual re-certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Clinical experience with an adult psychiatric treatment population including experience in diagnostic and psychosocial assessment and group therapy. Experience with crisis management and suicide risk assessment. Demonstrate multidisciplinary team leadership abilities, able to work under stressful situations and possesses good oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation.
Working Conditions: Potentially exposed to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements: Constantly sit, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear, lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs. Frequently stand, walk, reach, bend/twist, lift/carry 25 to 49 lbs. Occasionally lift/carry 50+ lbs. |
