Radiology Student TechnologistJob Summary: Under the supervision of Certified Technologist, a Radiology Student Technologist can perform the following job functions based on modality. Essential functions all modalities:

Minimum Qualifications: 18 years old and Diagnostic xray/CT: Must have completed their first year at an accredited School of Radiation Sciences majoring in Radiologic Imaging and is in good academic standing. BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association Certification. Or MRI: Must have completed their first year at an accredited School of Radiologic and Imaging Science majoring in MRI and is in good academic standing. BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association Certification. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques, radiation safety, anatomy/physiology and disease process and quality control in a Radiology Department. Working Conditions: May occasionally be exposed to infectious diseases and/or hazardous materials. Frequent exposure to radiation in a controlled protective setting. Physical Requirements: Constantly walk, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, talk/hear. Frequently stand, reach, push/pull, stoop/kneel/crouch, lift/carry 50+ lbs. |
