Nightlife Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Nightlife Supervisor oversees beverage operation at the Eagles Nest, Comedy Club, and the Theatre in a profitable manner as outlined in the annual budget. The Supervisor works closely with the manager to produce staff schedules, forecasting of revenue and costs, and is responsible for the monthly inventory and control of all equipment required to operate the department. Additionally, the position will be responsible for overseeing the venue on an operational basis and during the week by taking ownership of bookings and promotions of the venue in conjunction with the manager. To be successful, the position requires courteous and professional follow-up for potential leads for table bookings, works with the banquet team to contact any wedding or special event groups to encourage them to reserve space in our venues, and personalizes interactions with guests by sending thank you notes/birthday cards in order to maintain a Four Diamond experience and to encourage return visits.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Presents a professional manner at all times.
• Ensures proper service and atmosphere for guests.
• Responsible for all administrative duties in absence of Beverage Nightlife Operations Manager.
• Ensures all liquor laws are adhered to and enforced by staff at all times.
• Works with Beverage Nightlife Operations Manager in producing a work schedule for all Eagles Nest, Comedy Club, and Theatre staff to ensure maximum productivity.
• Meets with Beverage Nightlife Operations Manager to develop weekly and monthly forecast of revenues and costs.
• Maintains monthly inventory and control of all equipment required to operate the department.
• Reviews controls to ensure costs are in line with forecasts.
• Performs daily walk through of Eagles Nest, Comedy Club, and Theatre staff and makes notations of any deficiencies.
• Works with other departments to ensure proper execution of liquor service policies.
• Monitors actions throughout casino to ensure compliance of all liquor laws.
• Oversees all disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Responsible for booking guests, anticipating guest needs and business demands by proactively looking for business and following up after guest visits to maintain the highest standards of service.
• Inspects staff and advises as to uniforms, cleanliness, identification, etc.
• Ensures a safe working environment for employees.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
The nightlife supervisor has supervisory responsibilities including departmental corrective action and team member relation issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least 2 years relative experience is required to successfully perform this job. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” Gaming License

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Preferred experience with Micros POS
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guests

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prefer the ability to work flexible hours/holidays.
