BANQUET CAPTAIN
Job Title: Banquet Captain
Department: F&B/Resort Banquet Department Gaming License: 4b FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Banquet Manager Starting Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour + Tips Summary Leads the banquet team with the set-up and clean-up of food service for all banquet functions. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisor responsibilities. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior banquet department experience required, preferably in a high volume hotel and resort. Prior food service is mandatory. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills and broad knowledge of current and standard software applications and hotel systems (Microsoft Office, Delphi, Visual One, etc.). Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75 pounds. Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. |
