Technician - Home Medical EquipmentJob Summary: Provides service to patients through delivery, assembly and instruction on safe use, follow-up visits and on-call trouble shooting of home medical equipment. Cleans disinfects, and functionally checks durable medical equipment. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license, able to be covered on Oaklawn’s vehicle insurance and have a clean state criminal background. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: One year prior customer service experience preferred. Able to keep detailed records regarding equipment and medical records. Able to communicate effectively and organize daily work according to patient needs. Able to safely operate a company vehicle. Able to work a flexible schedule, as needed (including nights and weekends). Demonstrates effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision. Working Conditions: May work in unpredictable home environments with variations in cleanliness, temperature, behaviors, smoke, animals, and other potential hazards. Required to drive a car in all types of weather. Physical Requirements: Constantly stand, walk, push/pull, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch, talk/hear, lift/carry 1 to 49 lbs. Frequently sit, reach. |
