Analytical Accountant
Job Title: Analytical Accountant
Department: Finance Reports To: Assistant Controller Summary Responsible for the effective handling of accounting books and records in compliance with established guidelines and policies. Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control. Oversees gaming activity to ensure functionality and performance. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferred. 5 years experience in a financial analyst capacity; hospitality or gaming experience preferred; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Accounting software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Other Qualifications Must have strong analytical, communication and people management skills. Must have excellent problem solving abilities. Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data. Must be able to get along with co-workers and be a team player. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
