Department Assistant, Quality ImprovementJob Summary: Assists Quality, Infection Prevention, Safety and Risk department with tasks, data process and day to day operations. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age. Three (3) years of relevant healthcare experience as determined by the Director of Quality, Risk and Safety. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Degree in a health discipline, preferred. Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytic problem-solving skills; Ability to perform in a self-directed manner within a team-focused framework; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Willingness to learn, especially with regard to navigation of existing electronic medical record systems within Oaklawn enterprise; High-level of professionalism, poise, teamwork, and strong interpersonal and influential skills. Preferred skills include experience in a quality improvement department setting; Background in customer service; Basic understanding of statistics; Change management experience; Experience interacting with regulatory surveyors. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment and may occasionally involve activities within the hospital and/or at offsite locations. Physical Requirements: Constantly see/visual acuity. Frequently sit, talk/hear, handle/grasp/feel. Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 50+ lbs. |
