Coordinator, BenefitsJob Summary: Performs a variety of duties, both independently, with minimal supervision within the procedural and policy framework set by organizational and Human Resource leadership, in administering Hospital employee benefit plans and programs. Provides special project support (e.g. open enrollment). Works to apply the results of Benefit surveys to Hospital benefit plan design and handles a variety of document management, correspondence and records maintenance. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or commensurate combination of education and experience as determined by administration. Knowledge of the principles of Human Resources administration with one year experience in a Human Resources Department. Preferred Qualifications: Hospital/ Health related organization HR setting; PHR, SPHR or a benefits administration specific certification. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations. Proficiency in use of a variety of software and computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, queries and e-mail and calendar programs. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and handle confidential information in an appropriate manner. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a professional environment, with standard office equipment available. Physical Requirements: Constantly sit, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear. Frequently stand, walk, and reach. Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs. |
