Buyer - PharmacyJob Summary: The Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for coordinating all purchasing and inventory control for the Pharmacy Department. This individual will be responsible for the oversight of all tasks related to daily ordering including software use, regulatory compliance, order system development/maintenance, physical inventories, audit procedures, and initiatives as assigned. Works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director in accordance with standard departmental procedures. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, national certification (PTCB), and State of Michigan pharmacy technician license are required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Familiar with the 340B program and Microsoft Office applications, able to multitask appropriately and to work accurately under stress. Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with personnel and visitors. Able to operate multiple computer programs, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues; must have strong organizational skills. Working Conditions: May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required in sterile areas. Physical Requirements: Constantly stand, walk, reach, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear, lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs. Frequently push/pull, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch, lift/carry 25 to 49 lbs. Occasionally lift/carry 50+ lbs. |
