Blackjack Extraboard Floor/Dealer

Job Title: Blackjack Extra Board Floor/Dealer
Department: Blackjack
Reports To: Blackjack Pit Supervisor
Floor = $19.06/Dealer = $5.50 (both position earn tip income)

Summary
This is a dual-rate position. Employee’s primary position is Floor Person but may be called to perform Dealer function as needed. Ensures excellent customer service and monitors games in their respective areas. Preserves the integrity of the games with respect to employee and customer compliance with applicable rules/procedures. Ensures a pleasant and protected area for customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities
When in the Floor role, will directly supervises 4 to 8 Blackjack Dealers and Blackjack Pit Clerks. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Requires at least 1-year blackjack dealing experience. Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience desired preferably in a gaming environment.

Other Qualifications
Must possess good writing and math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages. Must have the ability to perform duties in a positive and professional manner. Must demonstrate reliability and flexibility in work schedule (i.e. work weekends and evenings). Superior customer service skills required.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
