Activity Therapist AideJob Summary: Responsible within the Psychiatric Department for ensuring professional service to the patients, hospital staff and hospital departments in accordance with policies set forth by Oaklawn. Coordinates recreation and leisure activities with patients and completion of evaluations and activity therapy assessments under the supervision of the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. May provide occasional coverage for other disciplines or as unit needs. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Handle with Care Basic certification in nonverbal and physical management within two (2) months of hire and annual re-certification. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Two (2) years of recent experience in a hospital or mental health setting.
