BSA/Tax Assistant Manager

Job Title: BSA/Tax Assistant Manager

Summary
The BSA/Tax Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the tax reporting, tax planning, and tax compliance function of the gaming and hotel enterprises with guidance from the Director of Accounting/Finance & Chief Financial Officer. The BSA/Tax Assistant Manager will interpret tax regulations, complete accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort while ensuring compliance with all Tribal, State and Federal Agencies according to current tax rules and regulations including but not limited to compliance with regulations under the Bank Secrecy Act.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manages the Tax/Title 31 Supervisor who supervises Title 31 Associates in the Finance Department.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting/Taxation from four-year college or university combined with M.B.A. or equivalent. Masters Degree preferred; CPA certification preferred; 7 years accounting/tax work experience with experience in financial operations in the hospitality and/or gaming industry required; and/or equivalent combination of education and related tax experience.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must display excellent PC skills and advanced proficiency using MSWord, MSExcel and 10-key.
Other Qualifications
* Must be fully versed with all Tribal, State and Federal Agencies and their rules and regulations pertaining to tax filings.
* Must have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws and reporting requirements.
* Must have knowledge of all pertinent IRS tax forms.
* Must be able to successfully communicate with multiple levels of management as well as co-workers.
* Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
