Lead Groundskeeper

Job Title: Lead Groundskeeper
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Starting Rate up to $16.68 per hour; depending on prior experience

Summary
The Lead Groundskeeper works on the grounds and assists the Maintenance Manager with coordinating the tasks involved with the maintenance of the grounds at Talking Stick Resort.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
HS/GED required; 2 years of grounds maintenance experience. Knowledge of equipment, tools and procedures of grounds construction and care. Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides and herbicides used in grounds care. Skill in operating grounds maintenance and grounds construction equipment and tools. Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers license and meet MVR requirements to be authorized to use drive and operate company vehicles.

Computer Skills:
Must have basic PC skills.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and ability to focus.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; secondary smoke; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
