Organizational Development Coordinator Full Time

Job Summary: Develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive plan for meeting the educational and development needs of Oaklawn employees.  Supports department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization. Provides staff development expertise as development coordinator, change agent, and researcher. Fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellent evidence-based practice. The Organizational Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the administration of Oaklawn’s Organizational Development functions; and maintains the Learning Management System (LMS); provides the necessary assistance to internal and external customers with a high level of integrity, strong organizational skills and professionalism.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, goal setting, decision making, delegation, strategic planning, project management, coaching and mentoring.
  • Oversees and maintains training materials, in collaboration with human resources staff, to ensure that participants receive the required information prior, during and after attending a course. This includes dealing with procurement issues.
  • Coordinates educational opportunities that benefit staff at all stages of their career development including Arbinger.
  • Coordinates training with external entities to meet required deadlines of staff, including and not limited to ACLS, and PALS.
  • Coordinates with external entities affiliation agreements, and student placements in the organization.
  • Coordinates, assists in development, tracks/monitors employee required annual required trainings via Computer Based Learning (CBL), and Skills Fairs.
  • Manages users and courses in the LMS (course creation, user assignments and related processes.)
  • Reviews and improves LMS operations practices.
  • Maintains procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of LMS system.
  • Assists with end user functional support of learning management systems and other technical resources.
  • Tracks/monitors and analyze education and development trends and growing needs as indicated by standard measures of employee engagement.
  • Serves as Ambassador of Oaklawn to internal and external training and development entities and trainers.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in field of Education, Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by HR Administration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Prior experience working in a Learning and Development role or related/similar business function preferred. Prior experience administering an LMS system preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments. Ability to accurately complete tasks within established timelines. High level of problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person, and in writing. Ability to follow instructions and apply learned knowledge beyond available instructions. Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize, and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to work independently and a part of a team by establishing and maintaining effective, positive, and cooperative working relationships with internal and external communities.

Working Conditions:  Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.  Variable shifts required to meet the needs of the facility/staff.

Physical Requirements:   Constantly see/visual acuity, talk/hear.  Frequently stand, sit, walk, handle/grasp/feel.  Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 49 lbs.
