Night Audit

GENERAL SUMMARY
Performing Preliminary Audit of Cashier Work and Processing of Daily Reports for Managers. Organize and account for all Front Desk Representative accounting; distribution of daily reports; and handling of high bill report for accurate guest credit.


FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to effectively deal with internal/external guests and to identify and resolve guest concerns. Ensure high guest satisfaction in the delivery of services.
• Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a leader and role model for other employees.
• Communicate effectively both verbally in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
• Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance. Attend a variety of meetings and conduct staff meetings to ensure timely and effective communication.
• Collaborate with other departments on service delivery issues and guest expectations recognizing the interdependencies that exist and the impact of actions and decisions on other departments.
• Analyze operating costs on a regular basis. Review daily and weekly reports to monitor revenue generation, rate management, yield management forecasts, expense management and payroll controls.
• Monitor and evaluate competitive trends, making recommendations on future goals for the hotel.
• Review short and long-term occupancy and revenue forecasts to identify deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use computer keyboard and calculator.
• Ability to walk and stand 80% of shift.
• Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
• Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
• To insure and make known that Pechanga business is carried out economically, efficiently, effectively and in accordance with Company policies with the purpose of ensuring accountability.
• Ensure that all billable services are properly reported and accurately reflected in the Opera System and financial statements.
• Ensure that adjustments to revenue are appropriate and approved.
• Ensuring that the recording and reporting of Pechanga revenue is carried out in accordance with current requirements, accountability exists for cash and cash equivalents received by the hotel and such accountability are properly maintained. Thus, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the provisions of Hotel Operation internal controls, Outside Agency Regulations and good business practices and that internal controls and procedures are efficient, effective and economical.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred to successfully perform this job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. This position requires the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format as well as the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. This position also requires the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. This position also requires the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
