Scheduler - Specialty ClinicJob Summary: Responsible for the daily scheduling of inpatient and outpatient procedures for multiple departments based on approved department processes. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and current Credentialed, Registered, or Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Prior experience in a physician’s office setting. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Previous scheduling and/or medical office preferred. Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology, ICD coding, computer experience, and computer skills, including keyboarding. Possess excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Ability to adapt to frequent change. Promotes positive relationships with scheduling coordinators, physicians and office staff members throughout the scheduling process. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Physical Requirements: Constantly sit, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear. Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs. |
